Director of Marketing

Sighten is seeking a well-qualified candidate who is passionate about driving the clean energy revolution by providing solar companies  with innovative software.  As a Director of Marketing at Sighten, you will be asked to:

  • Lead all marketing strategy development, implementation, and evaluation
  • Drive lead generation and platform adoption
  • Ensure marketing activities support sales and customer success in growing revenue

Job Overview

This position will have the opportunity to design, build, and operate an industry-leading marketing program - targeting all types of Sighten customers, including solar installers, financing companies, and more.   As the  marketing leader within Sighten, this role will own the development, implementation, and evaluation of the Company's marketing programs, campaigns, initiatives, and activities, ensuring alignment with Company strategic goals and growth plans. This exciting role will require a determined and friendly professional with an advanced understanding of marketing strategies and best practices, a resourceful and data-driven mindset, and comfort with  a high growth / fast-paced environment.

Job Duties

  • Collaborate closely with sales, customer success, product, and engineering to help get the job done
  • Drive new customer lead generation and platform feature / offering adoption for existing customers
  • Develop marketing and advertising campaigns and programs from strategic concept to completion, including campaign setup, creative testing, reporting, analysis, and optimization
  • Oversee the design and development of all external and internal marketing communication and collateral
  • Launch and test retargeting strategy to maximize full-funnel performance
  • Identify opportunities for improvement in existing marketing campaigns and develop and implement pragmatic solutions; assess opportunities for audience, creative, and channel expansion
  • Ensure marketing objectives and metrics are aligned with overall business objectives and specific growth plans
  • Build out tracking & reporting to monitor and optimize performance; design marketing tech stack with an eye towards automation and performance
  • Communicate regularly with senior management about marketing initiatives and relevant metrics
  • Organize and manage event marketing initiatives, including trade shows 
  • Perform other job related duties

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
  • Experience: 5+ years

Preferred Qualifications

  • Excellent communication, decision-making, and analytical skills
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to quantitatively manage, evaluate, and optimize marketing activities across key metrics (ROI, conversion, payback, etc.)
  • Familiarity with online content marketing and social media development strategies
  • Proficiency with HubSpot marketing suite and Salesforce
  • Experience working closely with sales, customer success, and product management teams
  • Solar or renewable energy industry  experience; B2B software experience
  • A high level of energy, motivation, initiative, commitment, and professionalism
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high growth environment
