Account Executive

Sighten is seeking a well-qualified candidate who is passionate about driving the clean energy revolution by providing solar companies with innovative software.  As an Account Executive at Sighten, you will own the sales process for new accounts and manage a set of existing Sighten customers on an ongoing basis. As an Account Executive at Sighten, you will be asked to:

  • Drive the sales process for new Sighten software customers, including running platform demos
  • Manage existing accounts, with specific up-sell, volume, and revenue targets
  • Support the launch of new products, partnerships, and features, with goal of increasing adoption with accounts

Job Overview

The Account Executive will work to convert qualified leads to closed customers and ensure successful adoption of the Sighten platform.  You will have specific sales as well as account management targets and will be expected to perform against these quotas. The ideal candidate must have a high degree of sales acumen, be a team player, and be comfortable operating in a fast-paced environment.

Job Duties

  • Contribute to the success of the organization by converting qualified leads to closed, paying customers at as high a rate as possible
  • Diligently manage your existing customer base, and consistently hit revenue, upsell, adoption, and retention goals
  • Always work to exceed set quotas and go above and beyond in a fast-paced environment
  • Conduct sales meetings and software demos with prospective customers; own successful and efficient customer closing process
  • Iterate on our value props, sales tactics, processes, and sales strategy through independence and ownership over your prospects and accounts, with a self-starter approach to the job
  • Collaborate effectively with a BDR to increase conversion of leads to customers and ensure outbound outreach is effective
  • Proactively work to evaluate and develop our sales operations processes and platforms
  • Work cross functionally with Operations, Product, and Engineering teams to deliver best product and value to our customers
  • Deal effectively with all inquiries and represent Sighten in a professional manner; elicit customer interest and concerns while providing pertinent information in an accurate and compelling manner
  • Travel to conferences and customer locations from time to time in support of your goals
  • Perform other job related duties

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • 2+ years of sales or account management experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • Exceptionally strong verbal and written communication skills
  • A high level of energy, motivation, initiative, commitment, and professionalism
  • Excellent time management and discipline to handle many demos, calls, and meetings each day
  • Ability to learn new technology and procedures
  • Proficiency in MS Office and CRM systems, especially Salesforce
  • A high degree of empathy toward customers and a strong desire to ensure high customer satisfaction
  • Previous experience in the solar and/or renewable energy industry; previous experience with B2B software
  • A proven track record in working in a target-driven environment; previous experience carrying a sales quota
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high growth environment
  • Ability to use sound judgment and effective sales techniques to close prospects as well as manage existing accounts
  • Excellent telephone and general customer service skills
